A legendary tribute to the late Trouble T Roy of Heavy D and the Boyz, “T.R.O.Y” is one of Hip-Hop’s most iconic anthems.
Instantly recognisable by its horn section, the original sample is taken from Tom Scott’s 1969 jazz piece “Today”, where Pete brilliantly chopped 3 sections of the track to make the beat, then added subtle vocal oohs and aahs and some seriously banging drums.
