So this bank holiday has been all about the rain and Carnival pretty much, but for the eagle-eyed amongst you, mixtapes have been falling from the sky over the whole of August… pretty much another rain pun tbh.
It’s still great to see the old art that has launched many an artist’s career is still as strong as ever, and here’s 3 standouts over the last month, all available for free download.
First up is Lupe Fiasco and his surprise new tape Pharaoh Heights, a project he was keeping under wraps for quite a while and has ended up leaking it himself. Fire business from start to finish with Lupe on top form and yet more 1st class posthumous beats from the one and only J Dilla.

Next up is Roc Nation signee and super producer Jahlil Beats, dropping a new instrumental tape with some serious heat on it, as well as a bonus track with Meek Mill. You know “The Calling” will get cyphered over in the coming weeks. Holla at me.
